'Speedy' as the name goes was fast at most thing, studies, games, girls or grub. With an envious knack of picking up things in a "speedy" way he learnt the bugle, fife, dholak and even got himself in the top few as far as studies were concerned. An indispensable college basketball player, he won many laurels in this game. Shankar, a simple and hard working person, with an irresistable ear to ear grin, he is bound to do well in life.

1972-1982: Sailed. Obtained First class Certificate in 1978 . Promoted to Chief Engineer in 1980
1982 - 1988 Quit sea to operate my own business of Selling and Servicing Hydraulic equipment and Diesel Engines. Also worked as a surveyor and consultant.
1988-1994 Went back to sea and sailed as Chief Engineer.
1994-1996 Superintending Engineer with Prudent International.
1996 - 1997 Technical Manager with Amar Ship Management.
Since 1998 Floated a ship Man Co. with Sunrich Group which doen't appears to be going smoothly at the moment .
