A good singer, he could also play the bongo, mouth organ, drums and the flute. Srikant is a gentle kind-hearted will liked by "one" and all. |

Veena was Born April 16, 1955. She is an educator and Principal at Sankalp
school for handicapped children run by Naval Wives Welfare Association, Mumbai.

A girl and a boy.
Daughter Kalyani, born August 23, 1978, studied Commercial art at Sophia College in Mumbai.
She got married to Amar in 2002 and since then she and Amar have been in first London and
now Hongkong. Amar is with the CitiGroup. Kalyani is currently persuing a postgrad programme
at Milan, Italy (Domus Institute) in Business Design (ends in Dec. 2007) while Amar leads a
bachelors life at HK. However, they have worked out their schedules and keep meeting regularly.
Son Soumitra, born October 11, 1983, graduated from IIT, Guwahati, in 2005 and since has been
working first at Pune and then now in Mumbai. He stays home with parents. He is planning to do
his post grad studies starting this September and has applied to New York State and Carnegie
Mellon in US. He has already secured admission at TU Delft in Netherland which was his first
preference for the programme that he is interested in ( Interactive design). But there are no
scholarships there . The other preference is UMEA in Sweden followed by CM and NY in US. He has
some time before he confirms.
