Mahindra V. Sapre (1435)

This is Me

Then & Now

Date of Birth: 11th April 1952
This is how they described me in the College Yearbook: The centre of all arguments, ‘Sappu relished them like a gourmet’. A staunch supporter of ‘Amchi Mumbai’, he fought for it tooth and nail even to the extent of temporary loss of voice, and then you could see 'Sappu' communicating with us in sign language. The ‘Kumbhakarna’ of our batch he could sleep for days at a stretch without the slightest change in position. In spite of this seemingly deceptive exterior there lay a keen intelligent mind and he has a sound technical knowledge ranging from valves to tape recorders. Extremely friendly and liked by all of us, one could always find him aiding the ailing with medical advice.
